Our Excursions typically meet up in Castle Rock, CO, which is located between Denver and Colorado Springs. All of our excursions are at least 2 days with one night of camping. All of our excursions include a professional guide, daily driver meetings, and education, meals include lunch and dinner on the first day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the middle days and breakfast and lunch on the last day. Water, coffee, and we will carry any other beverages brought by customers. High-end camping accommodations include tents, air mattresses, sleeping bags, and lights (setup and teardown provided by our crew). All park entry fees and licenses. We have a 3-vehicle limit per excursion.
Clay, dirt, gravel, sand, and mild rocks. Light water crossings and mild grades. All challenging sections will have bypasses that are easier.
A well-maintained street-licensed sport utility vehicle (SUV) or pickup truck with 4-wheel drive (4X4). A stock vehicle with tires in good condition.
Underbody protection (skid plates). Low-range gearing. Tow hooks/points. 30-inch tires or larger.
Any of these vehicles or better: Toyota 4X4 vehicles such as Tacoma, and 4-Runner. Jeep 4X4 vehicles such as Wrangler, Cherokee, and Gladiator. Ford 4X4 vehicles such as Ranger, Bronco, and F-150. Land Rover Discovery or Defender. Chevy 4X4 vehicles such as Colorado and Silverado. Nissan 4X4 vehicles such as Frontier and Xterra. Any full-size truck with 4X4.
No off-road experience needed. If you have done light dirt road driving or shelf road driving, then you will enjoy our beginner-level excursions. They will provide mild obstacles that are challenging and fun!
