Our Excursions typically meet up in Castle Rock, CO, which is located between Denver and Colorado Springs. All of our excursions are at least 2 days with one night of camping. All of our excursions include A professional guide. Daily driver meetings and education. Meals include lunch and dinner on the first day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on the middle days and breakfast and lunch on the last day. Water and coffee, and we will carry any other beverages brought by customers. High-end camping accommodations include tents, air mattresses, sleeping bags, and lights (setup and teardown provided by our crew). Park entry fees and licenses. We have a 3-vehicle max per excursion.
Clay, dirt, gravel, mud, soft deep sand, and large rocks. Dirt areas may have significant ruts, causing severe articulations, and there will be sections with lengthy sharp rocky terrain. Extreme off-camber (sideways leaning) possible. Deepwater crossings and extreme steep grades possible. Steep shelf roads with extreme dropoffs. Very narrow sections with roots and trees. The brush will come in contact with your vehicle. Obstacles will not have bypasses.
A well-maintained street-licensed sport utility vehicle (SUV) or pickup truck with 4-wheel drive (4X4). Heavy underbody protection (skid plates) or lifted vehicle with stock underbody protection. Low-range gearing. Locking differential (lockers). Tow hooks/points. 33-inch tires or larger. An off-road oriented vehicle with high ground clearance, aggressive articulation, and tires in good condition.
Rock rails (highly recommended). Off-road lights (highly recommended). Chase lights (highly recommended). 3- inch lift or higher. Winch. 35-inch tires or larger.
Any of these vehicles or better: Modified Toyota TRD and TRD Pro vehicles. Jeep Rubicon models or modified Jeep vehicles. Modified Ford FX4, modified Raptor, or modified Bronco (unless Black Diamond, Badlands, Wildtrak editions). Modified Land Rover vehicles with lockers included. Modified Chevy Colorado ZR2 or modified Trail Boss. Modified Ram Rebel or PowerWagon. Modified specialty vehicles.
Off-road experience needed. Have completed one guided Off-Road Excursions intermediate excursion or if you have used your 4X4 in low range, used your lockers, or explored similar terrain. If you have completed an intermediate off-roading trip before, then you will enjoy our experienced excursions. It will provide extreme obstacles that are challenging and fun!
